I had a background in art, which I’d loved since childhood but I only took up painting “seriously” after I retired. I get a lot of my inspiration from my surroundings. I work with a variety of mediums and love experimenting.

Oh if I had my time again I would have been a potter! Having taken up pottery later on, I have enjoyed developing skills and ideas for making ceramics. I have my own studio in Storth where I throw and hand build my pots, some functional and some just for arts sake. I cannot say I have “a style” and I want my makes to be viewed as individual and quite obviously not made in a factory so you will certainly find an eclectic mix of pieces available.

I’m a Textile Artist and keen photographer, working from my garden studio in Natland. I’m inspired by the colours and textures in the landscape. I layer fabrics and machine and hand embroider them, to create unique pictures, cards and jewellery.
