I make simple, elegant jewellery in gold and silver with clean lines and a minimal aesthetic. My designs often take shape as I work, blending creativity with practical know-how to create pieces that are beautiful, wearable and quietly distinctive.
I love the design possibilities that combining a variety of beads with silver plated wire can bring. It gives me a real buzz to create something a bit different which makes people happy.
My beading journey began during lockdown and has never stopped! I make items such as necklaces, bracelets and earrings, key rings, suncatchers and beaded decorations. I source quality beads, mainly from Europe and UK, but I also enjoy recycling beads from old costume jewellery.
I make handcrafted jewellery, accessories and decorative items. I started Scalia Creations when my eldest daughter turned 5 and we wanted party favours but couldn’t find anything suitable, that was back in 2014. I fell in love with creating and now make a whole host of pieces from bridal tiaras to bookmarks. I love to make bespoke pieces for people and what started as a means to make a small child happy has become a lovely hobby, therapy, and a great way to meet like-minded people 🙂
Silversmithing is in my blood! Like my blacksmith ancestors, I love manipulating and forming metal. I hammer silver into delicate, organic shapes adding freshwater pearls with irregular characteristics and colourful gemstones to create unique, highly feminine jewellery.
