Silverdale Art Group was established in the 1970s to encourage residents to learn, experiment and enjoy the visual arts. Our exhibition showcases a range of media, styles and subjects and includes paintings, prints, stitch, group projects and cards.

I love experimenting with my art work and use a lot of mixed media. I paint with acrylics, oils, watercolour, pastel and ink. Sometimes all in one painting! My inspiration comes from my surroundings in all it’s moods.
Tracy is an award winning artist with a long successful career of solo exhibitions and has collectors worldwide. She is an elected member of the prestigious Lake Artist Society. Her purpose built Studio Gallery with stunning views is in Arnside.

Having been brought up near the shores of Morecambe Bay, Susan finds a constant source of inspiration from the manmade and natural elements of her environment. She creates her work using mainly watercolour and sometimes acrylic or oils,
I am drawn to the contrasts of light and shape in both objects and nature. By using mainly acrylic and sometimes collage, I try to interpret those contrasting elements until I have a striking image. My work is always evolving.
I paint and exhibit in my small garden studio just off Stankelt Road in the centre of the village. My watercolours and some mixed media are inspired by the Bay Area but also include some paintings of the Lakes District and some small studies of birds.

Sadie started ‘dot painting’ 2 years ago, finding it therapeutic and very addictive (especially Mandala designs). Using bright acrylic paints, a wide variety of art is available. Small gifts such as bookmarks/keyrings to stonecast tealights and canvas paintings, something for everyone.
I create artwork and crafts using wool and pure silk fibres. My work includes pictures of various sizes, felted cushions, lamps with felted shades. I sell my artwork in three galleries in Northumberland.
Painting is one of my joys in life. I loose myself in in them, wondering where the time has gone. I don’t restrict myself to “a style”. I love to experiment with all styles!
I am an amateur artist living in Arnside since 2008 . The beauty of the surrounding countryside has inspired me to take up painting as a hobby. I enjoy doing mainly watercolour pictures and cards.
